The date of August 16, 2010, will mark the thirty third anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley. Can you believe that? Thirty three years is quite a long time. The long time span since his death almost seems surreal. However, with all of the faithful loyal Elvis fans celebrating the man and his music each and every day of the year, leading to a decrescendo every August 16, absolutely keeps Elvis alive. The documentation, publicity, and exposure given to Elvis Presley has not slowed down much at all since his death. In fact, sometimes it seems as though he's even more popular now than when he was alive formation.
However, there is a minute down side to all of this. For some people, constant rehashed information about Elvis has generated some boredom within the public. Let me explain more about this. There is nothing boring about Elvis Presley the entertainer, his music, and experiencing his talent over and over. However, it seems we have heard just about everything there is to learn about this man from reliable sources close to him while he was living. With this in mind, some people have become a little bored with the fact that we are unable to receive new information about Elvis, which would certainly adds vice when remembering the King of Rock 'n Roll.
After a little effort spent searching for something new about Elvis, I came across a new book that is most interesting to me because it's not rehashed information about Elvis Presley. In fact, it is a fiction novel that features Elvis, and might be thought of as a work he may have done or considered while he was alive.
The book's main character finds the journal of Elvis Presley by accident hidden in a piece of furniture he buys at a used furniture store.
After finding and reading the journal, a strange series of paranormal events begin to occur in his life. He is then given the mission to find Elvis, who now lives in a dimension parallel to ours known as, The Fifth Dimension.
Incidentally, instead of joining his twin brother and mother in the afterlife after passing away in our world, Elvis Presley is unintentionally catapulted into this parallel dimension due to a cerebral altered state induced by the substances in his body at the time of his death.
The young man is then transported from our dimension, into the Fifth Dimension to correct what separated Elvis from joining his late family members. After finding Elvis in the Fifth Dimension, he must convince him of his once pre-existing life here in our dimension, while encountering a series of life-threatening events.
He realizes he is in too deep to turn back and must complete his mission impossible successfully, to save his own life and return back home to his own dimension. The book is full of surprises as the young man discovers many differences in the Fifth Dimension, including John F. Kennedy still alive, and Dr. Martin Luther King serving as the President of the United States.
